I am Zeke Ares, the creator of HEXE, a project born from my love for the bizarre and my obsession with German lyrics, H.R. Giger, and the gothic and steampunk worlds. HEXE started as a personal challenge—something completely different from anything I’d done before. It all began with a track called “Hexe” (German for "witch"), which was meant to be a love story between a trapped demon and the witch, Hexe. But that simple idea morphed into something darker: an album about our decayed digital society, where we’re all followers, social media is the new gospel, and cancel culture and OnlyFans reign supreme.
This world I’ve created is grotesque, where a naked girl online gets more attention than a man dying from a horrific disease. It’s a place where the line between art and pornography blurs, and hell is no longer a fiery pit but a tangle of wires we’re all caught in. The album, Gehenna: The Digital Carnival, is my spit in the face of this grim reality. And this is just the beginning—HEXE is only getting started.
